myLot Discussions| I need money for an extra portable hard drive! | | From Tuesday up to today i've carried my USB-powered Western Digital 80GB hard drive, and right now it's getting dangerously full. I am down to about a few megabytes in the triple digits. Portable hard drives cost somewhere around $100 and $200 dollars. That's almost reasonable, not too expensive, but I need money in order to purchase an extra spare and expand my free space to store my downloads. So is there a way that I can earn a reasonable amount of money online without investing or spending money? I've already joined Associated Content, and i've been paid $6.50, and i'm already down to $4.99. And if it sends checks or money orders as payment, i'm fine with that. But I don't want to do things that makes me feel i'm working for peanuts and pennies. And i'm not interested in get-rich-quick (GRQ) scams or schemes. I need websites that not only are legit, but actually pay, either by Paypal or its alternatives, or sending checks in the mailbox. | |

| | Do you find good bargains at going-out-of-business stores? | | Last month, on Attack of the Show I heard that Circuit City was going out of business after filing for Chapter 7 or Chapter 11 bankruptcy, and since i've been there a few times, such as relaxation CDs that cost less than $5 dollars, and getting a Sandisk Sansa M250 MP3 Player 2 Christmases ago, I started to get to know it a bit better. But now that I have enough money in my account, i've decided to find some good deals on tech devices there now that the store is going gray and shutting down like Windows XP. As a techno-nerd, this was my own way of going to a wake and paying my final respects to a store that lasted for 60 years, and I spent a decent amount of my "green bouquet of dollars" on what I wanted to my heart's content without holding back.On February 2, 2009, i've decided to find a good deal on low-cost netbooks for less than $500 that I could have as backup, but they've already ran out of them and had regular notebooks and laptops that were higher. So I decided to use Plan B and browse the store fast to find other good deals there. These devices were what I bought from the completely-malfunctioned-beyond-repair store:-Kensington Notebook Power Adapter... | |
