| | When people owe money why do they spend the money they have on things they dont | | need?Well my brother needs tax at the end of this month as his runs out,he is worse than a child and my mother is not helping by keep paying for all his bills while he is living rent free at hers as well as being waited on.He has just gone and got a new wide screen monitor for his computer as well as a mouse pad and pen.His monitor he did have as well as the mouse worked ok,but he wanted a better one of each.Guess who will be paying for the tax at the end of the month,yep my mother. | |

Jobs also renamed the company "Apple Inc." to reflect its increasing focus on consumer electronics.

| | Do You Prefer Wide Screen LCD or Normal LCD? | | I just bought a LCD which is wide screen LCD. It looks nice but the wide screen design makes me feel weird and uncomfortable. | | With the large wide screen TVs being expensive, is it feasible to get a 2nd set | | Years ago before the HD TVs came into play, families would have a large TV set in the living room, and one or more in the bedroom, usually a smaller portable one. Now I am omitting that some families could only afford one set, and that was probably a second hand set. But now with the new HD tVS with the wide screens being so expensive, is the custom of having a second smaller HD wide screen Tv still apply or are families going back to the old custom when there was only one set in the house?
We have a large one in the living room, and our second set is one of the old portable Tvs. We do have an old large screen Tv monitor down in our basement, but that is for one of our sons when they want that.
So how many Tvs do you have in your house and are they the old kinds, the new kind, or a combination? | |
| | Wide Screen TV/Movies - whats the point? | | DVD's are all coming out in wide screen, and I have seen TV movies with wide screen and just don't get the purpose. I know they make the actual tv screens now short and wide to accomodate the wide screen shooting of the movie, but now it is so often, it is really annoying to me.Right now, I am watching my favorite Elvis movie - Viva Las Vegas and it is in wide screen view on my regular tv. So first I have this large black area at the top and bottom of my screen - not much left for the movie to be viewed in. I see the actors from the knee up and bit of their head/hair is cut off but boy the periphial view is abundant. What I am saying is that they have scrunched the screen to narrow and wide - you see left and right just fine, but that is all background stuff. If you want to see the actors/characters - you get partial views - knee to head only. HEre is this guy sitting in the audience of the show and all you see is his hands and head -- hands, not elbows, just hands clapping in front of his face with partial bodies to the side. HEre is Elvis singing and dancing and they show waist to head and hair is just ever so slightly below the screen cut off - if he moves right,... | |
| | Is the loss from Wide Screen to Full Screen really that bad? | | I mean sure you lose a little bit of the edges, but when would I not be able to tell what's going on just because a few inches of the film are missing? | | Wide screen monitors or just normall flat screen?? | | I have a acer 24" PC Monitro, it is more wide screen then tall in length. It really is an awsome thing for watching wide screen movies and play online games on it, the graphics are amazing too. So I prefer widescreen monitors like my acer 24".

Haven't seen his foot work at all. it is literally just waist and up...would have been great on the Ed SUllivan show when everyone complained about his girations below the waist, but now - - it looks stupid to just see waist to head! I'd almost rather not watch it since all I see are heads. There's alot more to a movie than just the heads and left/right scenery! Wide Screen!?? WHY????????? | |
