| What's your opinion on DELL computers? | | It's been nearly 6-7 years since I have been using my Dell Optiplex Gx260, I think it is a great computer for home use.Within these years I have had only 1 problem which was the power supply unit. So I had to change it. But otherwise there wasn't any much of a problem.I think Dell computers are great for business and home use.My home computer when purchased had only 256MB of ram and still have 64MB on-board graphics. So I changed the RAM to 1.25GB and it functions very fast now.Anyhow, this is my story.
I'd like to know the opinion of mylotters on Dell or any other good computer brand, because maybe I might be buying a new computer pretty soon. And what do you think might be the best pc for gaming, an affordable one that is too? | |
| | Don't you just hate seeing a faster computer with LESS SPECS?! | | I am amazed at what my old computer can do. I mean, heck, two of my branded computers are stomped, smack-faced. Grrrr, I need a core 2 anytime soon. You see, we have three computers in the house(four if you include the dormant laptop). So ok, three desktops, one denominator:all of them have no special video card, they're all integrated in the motherboard. One is a custom computer with an AMD athlon XP, 1.2ghz, 128mb ram. One is a Dell Optiplex gx270 with Pentium 4 2.4ghz, 256mb ram dual channel, and the one I'm using right now is a Compaq Evo desktop, Pentium 4 2.0ghz, 640mb ram. So who will you bet on running the fast lane?Yeah, based on the discussion subject, you can bet on the AMD. C'mon, everything, from games to browsing to even using Microsoft word, the AMD beats the two. Arrrgghhh...The abd thing about that is, that AMD is in my brother's room, it is not hooked up in the router directly, and the hard drive is too small for my everyday needs...I wish I could change this current computer of mine. I hope to earn more online.Have you ever experienced something like this? Have a nice day. | |
