| | Insightful messages from Forrest Gump... | | When I saw Forrest Gump it really made me opened my eyes to a lot of things. There's so many messages in the movie that made it so insightful and made me think about so many different things. I think for me, Forrest's simple yet pure mind is the biggest message in the movie. The way that Forrest thought about the world, how he views it, and the way he reacts to it really brings tears to my eyes. His thoughts are pure with no motives and he actually "sees" the good in his life. He does exactly what he sets out to do without being discouraged from other people that he can't do it. He didn't let his fear stop him from traveling the world and meeting all these people and experiencing life-changing events in history. | Is This Great Customer Service or WHAT?? | | In August 2005 I bought a new notebook computer - 60 gig hard drive, 1.4 ghz chip etc. I bought the extended warranty. I used it all of the time, leave it on for months at a time. Well in May 2008, due to my stupidity and using the computer on my lap all the time, I fried the hard drive. They replaced it. A few weeks later, when I took a power hit and I had no surge protector they replaced the logic card and the wireless modem card. A few weeks later, I still could not get my printer connected and a few other things. They replaced the hard drive and a bunch of other things.[b]Now all of this is being done at no cost to me.[/b]But again it does not work right[em]angry[/em]. I am very upset.I take the computer in for the 4th time and the repair guy says, we aren't going to fix this again. We are going to build you a new one[em]thumbup[/em]. I expected to see a box approximately like what I had.Well I go to pick it up and it has a web-cam, a 2.1 ghz chip, a 120 gig hard drive and the latest and greatest operating system-- all at NO cost to me.This is why I buy[b]APPLE[/b] products. They stand behind their products and do back-handsprings to make their customers... | |
